SFG welcomes English speaking members
As you know, the Swedish Packaging Guild (Svenska Förpackningsgillet) has long been a cornerstone for professionals within the Swedish packaging industry. Over time, the industry has evolved, becoming more international with many companies adopting English as the official language in the workplace. This shift has expanded the industry’s reach, but it also means that many English-speaking professionals in Sweden may feel excluded from key industry networks simply due to language barriers.
Exclusion is not our cup of tea.
Recognizing the importance of inclusivity and diversity in our industry, the board has decided to include English in all our communication efforts. Our goal is to reach a broader audience, especially those English-speaking packaging professionals in Sweden who are eager to connect, learn, and grow within this vibrant community. While Swedish will remain our main language, we are committed to complementing it with English where appropriate, ensuring that everyone has access to the resources and opportunities that the Guild offers.
One of the most exciting aspects of being part of our packaging network in Sweden is the opportunity to engage in our unique Coffeebot Fika sessions. These casual, yet deeply enriching virtual coffee breaks provide members with a chance to discuss industry trends, share insights, and connect with peers in a relaxed, informal setting. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting out in the packaging world, coffeebot fika offers an invaluable opportunity to build relationships and stay informed. With our new bilingual approach, these sessions are now more accessible than ever to English-speaking professionals, allowing for even more dynamic and diverse conversations.
In addition to coffeebot fika, we’re also proud to offer a mentorship connection service designed to support both emerging talents and experienced professionals in the packaging industry. Through this service, we help connect mentors and mentees, facilitating relationships that can guide careers and foster growth. Whether you’re looking for guidance from an industry expert or hoping to share your own experience with the next generation, our mentorship connections are an integral part of our packaging network in Sweden. With English now included in our communication, this service is open to an even wider audience, making it easier for everyone to participate and benefit from these valuable connections.
Furthermore, being a part of the Guild’s packaging network in Sweden means you’re connected to a vast and growing community of professionals who are passionate about innovation, sustainability, and excellence in packaging. Our network is a thriving ecosystem where ideas are exchanged, collaborations are formed, and industry standards are elevated. By incorporating English into our communication, we are ensuring that more people can join this network, bringing their unique perspectives and experiences to the table. Whether you’re attending webinars, participating in discussions, or simply browsing our resources, you’ll find that our community is more inclusive and supportive than ever before.
The decision to adopt bilingual communication is a significant step forward in making the Swedish Packaging Guild more accessible to everyone who wants to be a part of it. We believe that by reaching out to English-speaking professionals, we are not only expanding our network but also enriching it with new ideas, perspectives, and opportunities for growth.
As always, we welcome your thoughts and comments on this initiative. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how we can further improve our packaging network in Sweden, please do not hesitate to share them. Together, we can build an even stronger, more inclusive community that benefits all members.
